Well where do I start?? I am sitting in an office in Nairobi surrounded by Salvation Army furniture or maybe from the huge Baptist Church next door. Yes I am an honorary church goer nowadays as to not be perceived along the same lines as Satan (no change there then, I hear you all accord). Well it is not entirely a lie.. I am woken on a Sunday by the Pentecostal megaphone over the road shouting out my salvation for 5 hours. They may as well be in bed with me. Everyone.. literally everyone goes to church here. I just say 'But God is everywhere'.. they seem to have to agree.
Well something burst in our roof last night and flooded both bathrooms... thought the ceiling was falling in. We have power cuts most nights for 2 hours which freak young Julia (who I am sharing with) out but just reminds me fondly of the 1970's power cuts..
